Dr Amy Gillespie
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the team, responsible for recruitment of study participants and running the study. My PhD focused on the psychopharmacology of clozapine in treatment-resistant schizophrenia at King's College London and I'm broadly interested in mechanisms of treatment for mental health problems and prediction of treatment outcomes.   ​

Dr Jessica Scaife
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the team, with a  PhD in psychopharmacology from the University of Nottingham. I am responsible for recruitment of study participants and running the study.  Over the years I have worked on many different clinical research studies, investigating emotional processing and mechanisms of reward in alcohol addiction, anxiety and eating disorders.

James Carson
I am a research assistant working in the team, with a masters in Cognitive Neuroscience. I am involved in the recruitment, screening, and testing of participants. Broadly I am interested in clinical psychology and cognitive neuroscience and more specifically, how psychological and pharmacological treatments for depression work and can be improved.

Professor Phil Cowen
Lead clinical psychiatrist and Professor of Psychopharmacology.

My research focuses on the psychopharmacology of depression. I am interested in the biochemical changes that are associated with depression and how drugs work to alleviate the symptoms that depressed patients experience.

Dr Beata Godlewska
​Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist/ Clinical Researcher
My research focuses on two main areas: the psychopharmacology of mood disorders - depression and bipolar disorder - and psychological mechanisms of antidepressant drug action. I am primarily involved in assessing participants at the screening stage, and providing medical review throughout the study.

My research interests include mood disorders and self-harm, neurocognition and psychopharmacology. I am primarily involved in assessing participants at the screening stage, and providing medical review throughout the study.
