Do you feel low in mood?
Would you like to volunteer for a study?

COVID UPDATE 20/01/2021: We are still recruiting participants from Oxford and surrounding areas. Our study has ethical approval to continue during the current restrictions, in line with government guidance [opens in new window] that allows research participation which cannot reasonably be done at home to continue. To find out more, read about our safety procedures.

We are looking for people who are experiencing persistent low mood and not taking antidepressants or undergoing psychological therapy, to take part in the RESTAND study.

The aim of RESTAND is to investigate how a new medication affects emotional decision making. The study involves psychological tasks, one brain scan using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and taking medication for 7 days. You will be asked questions about your medical history to check your suitability for the study and for an MRI scan.

To find out more information, you can:
  • Read our FAQs
  • Read the full participant information sheet (below)
  • Contact us by emailing restandstudy@psych.ox.ac.uk or calling/texting us on 07775 007621

We will now be recruiting until July 2022!
